Current Officers of the WHSC

John Bruce John Bruce - President
I have over 35 years of experience in the safety and security field. This time includes manufacturing facilities, distribution center, office facilities, and construction but the majority of the time was spent in healthcare. My current position is that of Corporate Safety Officer for Aurora Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in Wisconsin.

I am also a co-founder and current president of the WHSC and also serve on the Board of the Southeast Wisconsin Homeland Security Partnership and on the Waukesha County Emergency Preparedness committee.

I am looking forward to continue to work with the officers, board, and the membership of the WHSC on the various goals and plans we have set for the organization.

Adam Perez - Vice President
Adam Perez is the Safety Officer for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Central Market. He has more than 30 years of Safety & Security experience in a healthcare setting. Adam served as the WHSC "Officer at Large" for two years and now as the Vice President.

Adam is certified as a Healthcare Environmental Manager and has participated on several WHEPP project/planning teams. "Working, partnering and networking with the WHSC membership continues to have a positive impact our facility safety and emergency preparedness programs."

Anna Heller Anna Heller - Secretary
I am the Safety Program Coordinator for UW Health Partner Watertown Regional Medical Center. I am also a Medical Technologist and have worked in the laboratory at WRMC for nearly 38 years. I took on the safety portion of my job in January of 2000. While not a founding member of the WHSC, I was the first Officer at Large until I became secretary. Since taking the position I have attend a number of classes to increase my safety knowledge and have gone on for my Masters degree.

Dan Linsmeier - Treasurer
I've worked at Holy Family Memorial for 18 years, having various management responsibilities within Support Services, presently holding the Safety Officer position. My education background includes being a Millwright, holding a Power Engineer license, a degree in management, and various safety certifications. I enjoy the outdoors, doing projects with my children and an occasional motorcycle ride with my wife.
Dan Linsmeier

Dean Pufahl Dean Pufahl - Officer-at-Large
Director of Facilities Management/Safety Officer at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend, with responsibility for the daily operations of Plant Operations, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Security, Safety, Clinical Engineering and construction management.

Twenty-nine years of healthcare experience with twenty-three in healthcare management. Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, American Society for Healthcare Engineering Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association, Licensed Stationary Engineer, and an Officer of the WHEA State Board.
